Spring is the perfect start in the Award Season
Since 1989, the Golden Award of Montreux has been kicking off the European awards season, honouring print, poster and design three years before Cannes expanded beyond Film. In an industry in which awards are a currency, the Golden Award of Montreux recognises outstanding work across advertising, media, digital, film, design and events.
Only Gold. No Silver. No Bronze.
The Golden Award of Montreux only awards Gold. There is no Silver or Bronze because only the best work shines through. All finalists are honoured with a Golden Award Certificate, crediting each creative individually for their personal contribution.
Montreux — A City That Inspires
Montreux has always been a magnet for creatives. Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky lived here. Freddie Mercury composed here. Nabokov wrote here. Deep Purple recorded Smoke on the Water here. The judges judge here. And the best creatives are honoured with Gold.
The Competition
The Golden Award of Montreux is open to advertising and media agencies, interactive agencies, clients, studios and production companies worldwide. National and international campaigns may compete across nine categories: Media, Digital, Film, Print, Direct, Integrated, Outdoor, Event and Spatial.
All winners are included in national and international ranking lists and promoted through international press releases and publicity campaigns.
The Montreux Talent Award
The Montreux Talent Award is a prestigious global competition that attracts hundreds of students and young professionals working on innovative projects in advertising, e-content and design. Launched in partnership with Swiss Media, it celebrates emerging international talent and gives young creatives a platform to showcase their work to leading international experts.
All students and emerging talents are invited to participate, individually or as a team, free of charge. Submitted works must be unpublished and not created as paid client work.
